Yesterday I was being super child care man again and looked after my son and his two small friends. One of the best parts of the day was taking them for a walk with their ride-on tractors and bikes.
We came across a slope that went from an old barn to the edge of a grass verge. The boys were in speedy heaven. We had races, crazy no hands screaming runs and individual slaloms (this mainly involved dodging the others as they toiled totally unaware of any impending crashes or collisions to the top of the hill with their vehicles.
Today a fantastic day at Brooklands. The highlight of my day was holding on for grim death with my children as a rickety old car took us around the site and onto the race track, with the unbelievably steep banking that was made in 1907, at 40mph without seat belts!
We all thought it was really exhilarating even if a little scary.
