Arena

It has all been happening in the world of Photo Problems. What with the carnival, work with the BBC and National Festival of Music for Youth and the village fete and today school sports day.

This is a picture from the some of the set up shots I did for NFMFY Rock & Urban category.
He is in a group called The Deafness and has recently worked with KT Tunstall and Paul Weller.
The group have been together for about 5 years there are four of them and they are all totally deaf. Whilst in Birmingham with the NFMFY I did 10 sessions with various musicians. There were drummers, saxophonists, trumpet players, singers, guitarists and whole groups with and without instruments. More on the technique on other day.

I have to tell you about the funniest thing last night. Eli was suffering from his first real tummy ache, a combination no doubt of "ice cream from the ice cream van" and an ice lolly from Mummy. Both in quite quick succession and both parents totally having the wool pulled over the eyes by the children who denied that Daddy had just bought them one from the van so that when Mummy came home from work she gave them another one in the bath.(yes the new bathroom is finished).

Number one son crawled from the bathroom to the bedroom saying "it hurts too much I cannot walk, I need a wheel chair" So back and forth from bedroom to bathroom and visa versa trying to get rid of the tummy ache and each time he states that he wants a different aide to help him.
Next it was a "wheel barrow" and then "push along train" and then a "walking stick". I think he was genuinely in pain but it was so funny that both parents thought at the time that he must be putting it on. I think for a not yet 4 year old he has an amazing vocabulary and understanding of the meaning of words.

Also just learnt today that Todd Rundgrens new album will be out this summer called Arena.
