I am now an official rock photog. A few weeks ago in between a few orchestral jobs I took the opportunity to photograph one of my rock idols Todd Rundgren.
I have been a fan of TR since 1976 when me and a mate dreamed of being rock stars and he introduced me to the 1972 album Something/Anything.
The concert was at the Forum in Kentish Town, London. I arrived early and had a good place for the support act Eugene Francis Jr. I thought I was the only photographer.
5 minutes before the main event the whole lot (20) show up from Mojo Magazine to the Croydon Advertiser. I stood my ground and hung on to my spot. In fact I had secured several spots by placing my bag in one area and me in another. I was right where I need ed to be to get some great wise angle and close up shots. They have turned out brilliantly.
