It has been five long years in the wilderness, but today Wolverhampton Wanderers (my hometown team) were promoted to the best football (soccer) league in the world. Yes, The Wolves will be in The Premiership again next year.
To celebrate I have posted pictures of Derek Dougan who sadly died last year and Steve Bull (left) both prolific goal scorers for The Wolves.
This is something the team has not had since Steve retired a few years ago. Now we have a goal machine called Sylvan Ebanks Blake. His 25 goals this season have helped us get to the top of the league and stay there for 7 months.
Gaining promotion is a massive relief for a Wolves fan. Most of us have revelled in the odd victory but the nearly moments, finishing outside the play off places twice, getting to the play offs and then losing to our arch rivals, were for crying about.
Something really special happened today.
