The Play of the Weather by John Heywood
10 actors in 30 minutes all to look different. Shot in the Great Hall at Hampton Court Palace, near London. I was not allowed to take pictures of the Tapestries which are second only to the Crown Jewels in value. Light stands also not allowed so flash units were placed on tables and floors, not ideal but some good results.
RSC Director Gregory Thompson directed performances of a play originally commissioned and performed for Henry VIII's court.
These performances are a collaboration between Historic Royal Palaces and Oxford Brookes University and are funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. The play is part of a series of events at Hampton Court Palace to celebrate 500 years of "our 'enry" (Henry VIII) getting on the throne.
Whilst posting this blog and making the very quick montage the children have been making a hole in the fence to let the cats go in and out because it's cruel to make them jump up.
The children are now expert fence painters and repairers.
